This is a 32 mm square 1080p USB camera board with an interchangeable M12 lens that works as a plug-and-play UVC webcam on any computer, used as the wrist (eye-in-hand) camera and the overhead (third-person) camera when recording LeRobot imitation-learning datasets with SO-ARM101, NexArm, Koch or Moss arms.

A small 1080p UVC camera board with an M12 lens, the kind of module used as the wrist (first-person) and overhead (third-person) cameras in LeRobot datasets. It needs no driver, works with OpenCV out of the box, and the 32 mm square board screws onto a printed bracket. Pick 90° for a wrist camera, 110°–140° for an overhead view of the whole workspace.

What can you use it for?

  • Wrist camera on a SO-ARM101 gripper (90° lens)
  • Overhead workspace camera on a desk arm (110°–140° lens)
  • Raspberry Pi and Jetson vision projects with OpenCV
  • Replacing the 480p camera in a Standard kit with 1080p

Who is it for?

LeRobot users adding a second or third view, and makers who want a small board camera that OpenCV recognises immediately.

Compatibility

  • OS: Windows, macOS, Linux, Raspberry Pi OS, Android (UVC, no driver)

Frequently asked questions

Which lens for a wrist camera?

90° no-distortion: wide enough to see the gripper fingers and the object, without fisheye curvature that confuses policies.

Which lens for the overhead camera?

110° or 140° so the whole workspace fits from 40–60 cm above the desk; the 140° lens has visible barrel distortion, which LeRobot tolerates.

What frame rate does LeRobot get?

30 fps at 640 × 480 or 1280 × 720 MJPG, which is what most configs use; 1080p also runs at 30 fps in MJPG.

Is the focus adjustable?

Yes, manually by turning the M12 lens; set it once for your working distance.
