This is a three-section articulated aluminium camera arm with a steel desk clamp and a 1/4"-20 ball head that holds a webcam or camera board above a robot's workspace, giving LeRobot datasets the fixed overhead (third-person) view that Hiwonder's Advanced kit includes on a stand.

A clamp-on articulated arm that puts a camera above the workspace of an SO-ARM101 or NexArm, the third-person view LeRobot policies train on. It clamps to the desk edge, swings out of the way when you need the bench, and the 1/4" ball head takes a webcam or a camera board on a small bracket (STL supplied with our Builder's Pack).

What can you use it for?

  • Overhead camera for SO-ARM101, NexArm, Koch or Moss teleoperation and recording
  • Holding a phone or webcam to film demos
  • Lights or a second camera for multi-view datasets
  • Swinging the camera away when the bench is needed for something else

LeRobot users who bought a Starter or Standard kit, or built their own arm, and need the overhead view without a floor stand.

Frequently asked questions

How high can the camera go?

About 60 cm above the desk with the arm alone, and 110–120 cm with the 68 cm riser, which is what a 110° lens needs to see a 60 × 60 cm workspace.

Does it hold a camera board without a housing?

Yes, with a small bracket that has a 1/4" nut; the printable bracket file is part of our free SO-101 print set.

Does it wobble?

Lock all three knurled joints and it holds a 1 kg load steady; for datasets, avoid bumping the desk.
