The Mono Enclosed Speaker is a compact sealed-box 4 Ω, 5 W loudspeaker with built-in mounting holes, used to add clear voice or sound output to ReSpeaker voice-assistant boards, ESP32 and Arduino projects, Raspberry Pi builds, robots and other DIY electronics without designing a speaker enclosure.
A small sealed-box speaker that gives voice assistants, robots and Arduino or ESP32 projects a clear, loud voice without designing an enclosure. The 4 Ω, 5 W driver plugs straight into ReSpeaker boards and most small class-D amplifier modules, and the moulded mounting holes let you screw it into a case in seconds.
What can you use it for?
- Voice output for ReSpeaker Lite, ReSpeaker XVF3800 and other voice-assistant boards
- Speaker for ESP32, ESP32-S3 (XIAO), Arduino and Raspberry Pi projects with a small class-D amplifier
- Robot and smart-home device voice prompts and alerts
- Educational electronics kits and STEM classroom projects
- Portable and battery-powered audio gadgets
Who is it for?
Makers and product developers who need a ready-made, enclosed speaker that screws into a case and sounds clear at 5 W, without sourcing a bare driver and building a box.

Frequently asked questions
What amplifier do I need for this speaker?
Any small amplifier rated for a 4 Ω load and 3–6 W output works, such as a MAX98357A I2S amplifier, a PAM8403 board or the amplifier built into ReSpeaker boards. Do not drive it above 6 W.
Is it loud enough for a voice assistant?
Yes. With 88 dB sensitivity and 5 W rated power it is clearly audible across a room, which is why Seeed pairs it with the ReSpeaker Lite voice-assistant kit.
Does it need its own enclosure?
No. The driver is already sealed in a plastic box, so it produces proper bass response on its own. The moulded holes let you screw it into your project case.
What is the connector?
A two-wire lead. It connects to screw terminals or a JST-style speaker connector on your amplifier board; polarity only matters if you use two speakers.
Can I use two of them for stereo?
Yes, use one per channel on a stereo amplifier and keep the polarity the same on both.
