GT2 timing pulleys are toothed aluminium wheels with a 2 mm pitch that transfer motion from a stepper motor shaft to a 6 mm GT2 belt, used on the X, Y and Z axes of 3D printers, CoreXY machines, laser engravers, plotters and small CNC routers.
Precision-machined aluminium GT2 timing pulleys for the X, Y and Z axes of 3D printers, CoreXY and CNC builds. 16 and 20-tooth pulleys with a 5 mm bore fit NEMA 17 motor shafts directly; 8 mm bore versions suit lead screws and idler shafts; 30, 36 and 40-tooth pulleys are used for reduction drives and belt-driven Z axes. Each pulley has two flanges to keep the belt on and two M3 grub screws.

Frequently asked questions
Which pulley does my 3D printer use?
Most desktop printers (Ender 3, CR-10, Prusa i3 clones, many CoreXY kits) use a 20-tooth GT2 pulley with a 5 mm bore on the NEMA 17 motor. Voron and some compact builds use 16 teeth. Count the teeth on your old pulley or check your printer's firmware steps/mm: 80 steps/mm at 16 microsteps means 20T, 100 steps/mm means 16T.
Do I need to change firmware after swapping pulleys?
Only if you change the tooth count. Steps per mm = (motor steps × microsteps) ÷ (teeth × 2 mm). Swapping a 20T for another 20T needs no change.
Will these fit an 8 mm lead screw?
Yes, choose the 8 mm bore version. It also fits 8 mm idler shafts and larger motor shafts.
Are they compatible with GT3 or 3 mm pitch belts?
No. These are 2 mm pitch GT2 pulleys for 6 mm wide GT2 belts. GT3 and HTD 3M belts need different pulleys.
How do I secure the pulley to the shaft?
Slide the pulley on, align one grub screw with the flat of the motor shaft if it has one, and tighten both M3 grub screws with a 1.5 mm hex key. A drop of threadlocker stops them loosening from vibration.
