A vacuum gripper starter pack is the small set of pneumatic parts needed to build a suction-cup end effector: the cups that touch the part, a fitting to get from push-in tube to a threaded vacuum port, and unions to branch one supply line into several cups. This pack covers all three in the sizes used on small-part handling.
The small pneumatic parts you always need two of when you build a suction gripper, in one pack: three sizes of bellows cup so you can test which one actually holds your part, a brass push-in fitting to get from tube to threaded port, and five reducing unions to step a Ø10 main line down to Ø6 branches.\n\nBellows cups (as opposed to flat cups) compress when they touch down, which gives you compliance if the part is not perfectly level and a little lift travel once vacuum is applied. The three diameters cover most small-part handling — Ø4 for PCB-scale pieces, Ø8 for small boxes and bagged goods.\n\nPairs naturally with our DPSN1 vacuum pressure switch, which tells the controller whether a part is actually held before the arm moves.
What can you use it for?
- Building a suction-cup end effector for a robot arm or delta pick-and-place head
- Testing which cup diameter actually holds a given part before committing to a design
- Branching a single vacuum line into a multi-cup array with the reducing unions
- Adapting push-in tube to threaded ports on ejectors, manifolds and vacuum pumps
- Lab and prototype vacuum handling of PCBs, small boxes, film-bagged goods and sheet parts
Who is it for?
Robotics builders, automation students and machine designers putting together a first vacuum gripper, and maintenance staff who want a small spares set rather than a minimum order of a hundred cups.
Compatibility
- Cups are MISUMI VPCT-compatible single-layer bellows type with a 4.5–5 mm mounting hole
- PCF6-01 straight fitting: Ø6 mm tube push-in to PT1/8 female thread, brass body
- PEG10-6 unions step a Ø10 mm main line down to Ø6 mm branches
- Works with any vacuum ejector or small vacuum pump; pair with a DPSN1 vacuum pressure switch for part-present detection

Frequently asked questions
Why bellows cups instead of flat cups?
A bellows cup compresses when it touches down. That gives compliance if the part is not perfectly level, and a short lift stroke once vacuum is applied — useful when picking from a stack or a conveyor that is not perfectly flat.
Which cup size should I use?
Rough guide: Ø4 mm for PCB-scale and small light parts, Ø6 mm for general small components, Ø8 mm for small boxes and bagged goods. The pack includes all three so you can test rather than guess.
Does this include a vacuum pump?
No. You supply the vacuum source — a venturi ejector running on shop air, or a small vacuum pump. This pack is the cups and the plumbing between the source and the part.
How do I know the part is actually held?
Add a vacuum switch. Our DPSN1-01-020 gives the controller a digital signal at a threshold you set, so the arm does not move on a failed pick.
What thread is the fitting?
PT1/8 female on the PCF6-01, which accepts a Ø6 mm tube on the push-in side. PT1/8 is interchangeable with R1/8 and BSPT 1/8 in most pneumatic hardware.
